Weight savings come from multiple sources: removing the hybrid system and switching to rear-wheel drive (the biggest saving), a carbon fibre roof, removing the rear seats and replacing them with a leather-wrapped carbon fibre tub, reducing sound insulation, simplifying the sound system, and deleting some driver assistance features.
