Pada 31 Ogos, Bloomberg melaporkan bahawa BYD telah menghubungi pihak berkuasa tempatan Kanada bagi mengambil alih kilang Stellantis yang terbiar di pinggir bandar Toronto. Datuk Bandar Brampton, Patrick Brown menyatakan bahawa BYD telah menghubunginya enam bulan lalu berkaitan pengeluaran bas di fasiliti tersebut.

8月31日，彭博社报道称，BYD已与加拿大当地政府接洽，探讨收购Stellantis位于多伦多郊区的一座闲置工厂。Brampton市长Patrick Brown表示，BYD在六个月前曾与他联系，商讨在该工厂生产巴士的事宜。

On August 31, Bloomberg reported that BYD has approached local Canadian authorities about acquiring an idle Stellantis plant in the suburbs of Toronto. Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown said BYD contacted him six months ago about producing buses at the facility.
