Coming to Malaysia very soon, Jetour T1 tops 800 bookings in Indonesia within a month; i-DM PHEV leads demand at ~RM 121k

Demand for the Jetour T1 is building quickly in Indonesia, with 800 customers already taking up the special launch offer about a month after the SUV was introduced in June 2026. The figure covers the first 1,000 buyers eligible for the early purchase programme, reports news outlet OtoDriver.

The tally includes both powertrain choices offered for the T1 in Indonesia: a conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) model and a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) version called i-DM, short for Intelligent Dual Mode.

According to the report, most of the bookings so far have gone to the i-DM variant. Jetour sees that as an early sign that Indonesian buyers are becoming more comfortable with electrified vehicles that still retain petrol-engine flexibility for longer trips.

Jetour Indonesia sales director Michael Budihardja said the response to the T1 has been strong since its launch, adding that the brand expects interest to continue as the limited launch allocation nears exhaustion.

The T1 i-DM uses an ACTECO 1.5 TGDI dedicated hybrid petrol engine paired with an electric motor through a dedicated hybrid transmission, or DHT.

Juiced by an 18.4kWh LFP battery pack, driving a 204 PS/310 Nm electric motor that supports a 136 PS/220 Nm four-cylinder engine.

Jetour’s special introductory pricing in Indonesia is set at IDR 388 million (~RM 87k) for the ICE version and IDR 538 million (~RM 121k) for the i-DM.

Closer to home, the Jetour T1 was shown at the past KLIMS in June 2026. The car is expected to make its official launch in Malaysia very soon, with registration of interest now open.
