Omoda Jaecoo Malaysia has marked its second anniversary in the country with a major sales milestone, announcing that it has delivered more than 32,000 vehicles nationwide since entering the Malaysian market.

As of July 2026, the company says it has delivered more than 8,100 vehicles year-to-date, making Omoda Jaecoo the fifth best-selling automotive brand in Malaysia. The milestone was celebrated at an event themed “Beyond 30,000, Celebrating Every Journey | One Million Forward,” which also saw the ceremonial handover of 20 new Jaecoo J5 vehicles.

The brand’s growth has been helped by its expanding SUV range, with the Jaecoo J5 emerging as one of its strongest performers. Introduced in March 2026, the J5 has recorded more than 2,500 deliveries in four months, making it a key contributor to Omoda Jaecoo’s recent momentum in Malaysia.

At the same event, Omoda Jaecoo Malaysia also officially opened bookings for the all-new Jaecoo J5 EV, the brand’s first fully electric model for Malaysia. The J5 EV is estimated to be priced from RM125,000, placing it as a new electric SUV option for buyers looking beyond the current range of petrol and plug-in hybrid models.

The J5 EV also forms part of the company’s wider new energy vehicle push. According to Omoda Jaecoo Malaysia, its NEV deliveries rose from 244 units in H1 2025 to 2,300 units in H1 2026, representing an 843% year-on-year increase.

This means the J5 EV will join a growing portfolio that already includes plug-in hybrid options, giving Malaysian buyers a broader choice across internal combustion, plug-in hybrid and fully electric powertrains.

Head of Omoda Jaecoo Malaysia, Chris Tan, said the milestone reflects the trust of more than 32,000 customers who have chosen the brand over the past two years. He added that the company is now entering its next chapter, with plans to expand its product line-up, accelerate electrification and deliver greater value to Malaysian customers.

For Omoda Jaecoo, Malaysia has quickly become one of its most important overseas markets. The brand’s rise to fifth place in the national sales ranking is significant, especially given that it has only been officially present here for two years.

With the J5 EV now open for bookings, the brand is clearly trying to build on that early momentum by entering a more competitive electric SUV space. Full specifications for the Malaysian J5 EV have not been detailed in this release, but with estimated pricing from RM125,000, it could become one of Omoda Jaecoo’s most closely watched models this year.
