Proton’s product offensive continues – roughly 3 months since the introduction of the locally-assembled (CKD) Proton eMas 7 and now this C-segment SUV has received yet another update. The updated 2026 Proton eMas 7 Premium Plus retails for RM 125,800. In-line with their recent launches, Proton is offering a limited-time RM 7,000 discount, slashing the price down to RM 118,800.

At the ongoing 2026 Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (2026 KLIMS), Proton unveiled the eMas 7 fitted with the larger 68.39-kWh Aegis short blade LFP battery pack. Said upgrade was already done to the eMas 7 twins – the Geely EX5 in Thailand and Australia.
The bump in battery capacity has increased the eMas 7’s usable range, bringing it up to 450 km under the WLTP cycle.

Unchanged in this update exercise is the front-mounted electric motor, which continues to deliver 160 kW (218 PS) and 320 Nm.

Likewise, when it comes to charging the eMas 7 – DC fast charging goes up to 115 kW, enabling a 30% to 80% recharge in just 20 minutes, and AC charging goes up to 11 kW – these remain unchanged from before.

“From introducing Malaysia’s first national EV in 2024 to becoming Malaysia’s No.1 EV brand today,
we are grateful for the strong support from Malaysians. Guided by the spirit of Kuasa e.MAS, we
continue to empower more Malaysians to embrace electrified mobility with confidence,” said Mr
Zhang Qiang, Chief Executive Officer of PRO-NET.
