Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford, the sole distributor of Ford vehicles in Malaysia, has expanded its local sports utility vehicle (SUV) portfolio with the introduction of three new variants: the Everest Platinum 3.0L, Everest Platinum 2.0L, and the Everest Sport 2.0L.
The vehicles made their official debut at the Sime Motors MotorExpo 2026, the same venue where the updated 2026 BYD Atto 3 was launched earlier this morning.
Prices are as follows: Everest Sport 2.0L (RM 316,888), Everest Platinum 2.0L (RM 348,888), and Everest Platinum 3.0L (RM 430,888).
Positioned at the top of the lineup, the range-topping Platinum 3.0L variant is driven by a 3.0-litre 4V DOHC V6 turbo-diesel engine.
The engine produces 250 PS at 3,250 rpm and 600 Nm of torque between 1,750 and 2,000 rpm. Power is managed via a 10-speed automatic transmission featuring an eShifter. It utilises an ElectroMagnetic Transfer Case (EMTC) full-time four-wheel-drive system for automatic torque distribution.
The model is distinguished by black "PLATINUM" lettering on the hood, front doors, and tailgate, alongside 21-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 275/45 R21 tyres. It includes power-folding third-row seats.
Body colours include Acacia Green, Meteor Grey, and Absolute Black.
The updated Ford Everest Platinum 2.0L variant focuses on an athletic visual design and terrain-specific driving modes. Under the bonnet, it shares its mechanical configuration with the 2.0L Platinum, utilising a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine that produces 170 PS and 405 Nm of torque.
This powertrain is paired with a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission and an Electronic Shift-On-The-Fly (ESOF) part-time four-wheel-drive system.
To handle diverse road conditions and off-road driving, the Sport variant comes equipped with a terrain management system featuring six selectable drive modes, which include specific calibrations for Mud/Ruts and Sand.
Visually, the model is distinguished by a unique grille design, prominent black exterior trim accents, and 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 255/55 R20 tyres.
Inside, the cabin receives newly designed sporty two-tone seats. Customers can choose from four exterior colour options: Command Grey, Lightning Blue, Arctic White, and Absolute Black.
