Would be owners of the Suzuki Jimny would be keen to note that Suzuki Cars Malaysia has introduced two, well-specced variants of the popular SUV here: the Jimny Allgrip Plus, and the Jimny Rhino Plus. Fully imported (CBU Japan), these three-door variants add more safety features and uprated conveniences.

The Jimny Allgrip Plus is the new baseline model, starting at RM 158,900 on-the-road without insurance. Meanwhile, you'll have to stump up RM 173,900 for the Rhino Plus - as that comes with an extensive styling package.

What's new in the 2026 Jimny Allgrip Plus in Malaysia?

The core update across both versions is the implementation of a comprehensive Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) architecture. This system introduces Dual Sensor Brake Support II (DSBS II) autonomous braking, adaptive cruise control (new), automatic high beam control, lane departure warning and prevention, vehicle weaving alerts, and an emergency stop signal function.

Parking and tight-clearance visibility are improved via a millimeter-wave radar-assisted reversing camera, and added new front and rear parking sensors. Meanwhile, there's electronically-adjustable, heated side mirrors that feature power-folding functionality.

Structural occupant safety is further reinforced by the standard installation of side and curtain airbags, expanding the vehicle's total airbag count to six.

Infotainment is also upgraded, with a new centre 9-inch touchscreen multimedia system offers complete connectivity support for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, USB, and an AUX jack. However, as modern as it is...there's still no keyless entry and start.

Jimny Rhino Plus - aesthetic package

While the two models share a unified tech package, the Jimny Rhino Plus establishes its identity through a specialised visual design theme. The variant features 15-inch polished alloy wheels, a customised front grille design, and functional front and side lower body under-garnish protectors.

Additional exterior highlights include integrated window door visors, contrast red front and rear mud flaps, and a rigid rear spare wheel cover decorated with a Rhino emblem. The Allgrip Plus maintains a more traditional look, utilising dark-finished 15-inch alloy wheels, with both vehicles riding on standard 195/80R15 tire profiles.

The vehicle's mechanical and drivetrain configurations are completely stock, with the ladder-frame SUV driven by a K15B 1.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine, which produces 102 PS and 130 Nm of torque.

This unit is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and a mechanical part-time four-wheel-drive system. Drivers manage traction manually via a traditional floor-mounted transfer case containing selectable 2H, 4H, and low-range 4L gears.

The standard equipment manifest across both iterations also encompasses automatic LED headlights with dedicated high-pressure washers, power windows, a tilt-adjustable leather steering wheel, and fabric seats with a 50:50 split-folding rear bench.

For exterior paintwork, single-tone finishes consist of Jungle Green, Medium Grey, Bluish Black Pearl, and Pure White Pearl. For a RM 1,000 premium, buyers can specify a two-tone color profile combining a Bluish Black Pearl contrast roof with either Chiffon Ivory Metallic or Kinetic Yellow bodywork.
