This is a hot one – Bermaz Motor, the official distributor of Mazda vehicles in Malaysia has just showcased the all-new, third-generation Mazda CX-5 at the 2026 Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (2026 KLIMS).

Set to officially launch in Malaysia in Q3 2026, the preview at KLIMS is the first time this model has been officially shown here. While Bermaz has yet to reveal any indicative prices, some Mazda dealers have revealed an estimated starting price of RM 170,000.

Codenamed KM, the all-new third-generation Mazda CX-5 will arrive in Malaysia in fully imported (CBU) form first, with local assembly (CKD) work set to commence at a later date.

Globally, the KM-generation Mazda CX-5 can be had with several 2.5-litre four-cylinder engines. For Malaysia, Bermaz has hinted that we could be getting the naturally-aspirated 2.5-litre SkyActiv petrol engine, as well as the 2.5-litre e-SkyActiv G mild-hybrid (MHEV).

With prices estimated to start from the RM 170k mark, the entry price is considerably higher than the outgoing KF-generation model. That said, Bermaz Motor has indicated that the outgoing KF-generation model will soldier on alongside the KM-generation model, albeit only with the entry 2.0-litre engine.

For context, the current KF-generation Mazda CX-5 is priced from RM 135,669 onwards.
