Bermaz Xpeng Sdn Bhd has officially introduced the 2026 Xpeng X9 facelift just before KLIMS 2026. With an updated look and comfort-focused features, the X9 also starts marginally cheaper.

The entry-level Standard Range 2WD Pro is now priced at RM 281,703. The mid-spec Long Range 2WD Pro comes in at RM 299,073. Meanwhile, the top-tier Long Range 2WD Pro Plus now retails from RM 335,573.

2026 Xpeng X9 facelift updates

Visually, the updated X9 keeps its streamlined silhouette, but there's an update to the front fascia. The "Robot Face", as it's called in Xpeng's parlance, has a slight nip-and-tuck that incorporates an active shutter on the lower half of the bumper.

The 20-inch wheels with self-righting centrecaps remain, and so is pretty much the rest of the car. The color palette however has been expanded, offering two new exterior paint options: Lambent Cyan and Polar Violet, which join the existing Midnight Black, Arctic White, and Matte Gray.

A major update are the inclusion of soft-close front doors, which opens to a subtly refrehed interior that includes a new Rose Brown dual-tone shade as an additional choice above the currently-available Coffee and Meteorite Black shades.

Changes within the interior are minor, with a new steering wheel that puts the Xpeng logo in the centre, while the 21-inch Head-Up Display continues to handle primary driver telemetry. For audiophiles, the premium X-Opera sound system has been overhauled to a 27-speaker layout.

Passenger comfort updates are heavily focused on the rear rows. The second-row captain seats now adopt a more versatile 40/60 split-folding layout, drastically improving configuration options when fitting child seats or carrying large items. For third-row occupants, the bench seat has been upgraded with built-in seat heating elements. Additionally, family utility is enhanced by the inclusion of a smart refrigerator integrated with a dedicated child-lock safety feature.

Under the skin, the premium MPV retains its advanced 800V Silicon Carbide (SiC) high-voltage platform with ultra-efficient 5C super-charging capability, allowing a 10% to 80% charge replenishment in just 12 minutes.

The base Standard Range uses a 94.8 kWh LFP battery pack pushing out a peak charging power of 537 kW and a WLTP-rated range of up to 535 km. The Long Range and AWD Performance variants feature a larger 110 kWh NCM battery layout with a maximum charging rate of 542 kW, achieving up to 615 km and 580 km of range respectively.

The fully imported (CBU) XPENG X9 is now open for bookings nationwide. Each purchase includes a 5-year or 120,000 km manufacturer warranty, a 5-year or 100,000 km free scheduled maintenance package, and an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty covering the high-voltage battery pack.
