KLIMS 2026: TQ Wuling showcases Huajing S, new flagship three-row SUV coming soon?

TQ Wuling may not be known for exciting cars, but it looks like the Huajing S (华境S) could soon change that notion.

Unlike the cutesy Bingo EV, the Huajing S is a full-sized, three-row SUV. And it’s properly new, with the model hitting the Chinese market in early-May 2026.

In China, a total of four variants of the Huajing S are offered, with prices starting from CNY 159,800 (~RM 96k) and topping out at CNY 203,800 (~RM 122k). For context, that puts the Huajing S as the most affordable full-sized SUVs for sale in China, undercutting other similarly-sized rivals.

Could the Huajing S do that for Malaysia? It’s highly contingent on the actual price.

In terms of dimensions, the Huajing S measures 5,235 mm long, 1,999 mm wide, 1,800 mm tall, with a 3,105 mm wheelbase. Those dimensions absolutely dwarf some of the largest SUVs on sale in Malaysia today, including the Mazda CX-80.

Powering the Huajing S is a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) system, which combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor. The former outputs 143 PS and 220 Nm, while the electric motor outputs 200 kW (272 PS) and 310 Nm.

There are two battery capacities on offer – 31.0-kWh and 41.9-kWh. The former offers a pure electric range of up to 130 km under the WLTC cycle, while the latter offers up to 175 km. Combined, the Huajing S offers up to 1,145 km WLTC.

Now, does this necessarily mean that TQ Wuling will launch the Huajing S in Malaysia soon? Hold your horses, the model is still relatively new, and the company is likely gauging public response for the model before planning their next move.
