Suzuki e Vitara teased again, is the launch of the Toyota Urban Cruiser twin happening in 2026?

The Suzuki e Vitara has been teased by Suzuki Cars Malaysia again, more than six months since the previous teaser in August 2025.

This time around, the teaser says “Ready for eVolution? Coming soon”, which hints that this C-segment EV SUV is arriving soon.

Depending on the market, the Suzuki e Vitara can be had with several battery and drivetrain options:

• 49-kWh LFP battery – single-motor, FWD, 106 kW (144 PS), 189 Nm, 342 km WLTP
• 61-kWh LFP battery – single-motor, FWD, 128 kW (174 PS), 189 Nm, 424 km WLTP
• 61-kWh ALLGRIP-e – dual-motor, AWD, 135 kW (184 PS), 300 Nm, 394 km WLTP

The Suzuki e Vitara is developed on the Heartect-E platform, which is adapted from the regular Heartect platform that underpins the Swift Sport, Baleno, and Fronx.

Right now, we don’t know what specifications our Malaysian-spec Suzuki e Vitara would be getting, but one thing is for sure – the twin model, the Toyota Urban Cruiser, is already on sale in Malaysia. The imported (CBU) India Toyota Urban Cruiser retails for RM 198,000 – a rather substantial amount when compared to other similar segment EV SUVs from China.
