Proton eMas sustains EV and PHEV momentum in first half of 2026

Pro-Net's Proton eMas brand recorded 17,604 year-to-date registrations across its EV and PHEV lineup as of June 2026, with 3,026 units delivered in June alone across all models.

The Proton eMas 7 PHEV, Malaysia's top-selling PHEV model, recorded 1,138 registrations in June, bringing its year-to-date total to 4,074 units. Since its launch in February 2026, the model has surpassed 11,000 bookings.

The Proton eMas 7 PHEV Prime, the entry variant, is priced from RM 105,800. Proton positions it as offering running costs comparable to A-segment vehicles at a B-segment price point, with C-segment exterior dimensions but D-segment interior space.

The Proton eMas 5 recorded 1,309 registrations in June, continuing to contribute to the brand's overall registration volume.

The Proton eMas 7 recorded 579 registrations in June, bringing its year-to-date total to 2,864 units. Since its December 2025 launch, more than 11,542 units have been delivered in Malaysia.

A new variant, the Proton e.MAS 7 Premium Plus, was launched at KLIMS 2026. It adds dual front massage seats, a powered front passenger seat with memory function, and an integrated passenger leg rest. Despite its larger battery and added equipment, the variant supports DC fast charging of up to 115kW, enabling a 30–80% charge in approximately 20 minutes, which is identical to the Premium variant, while offering up to 450km WLTP range.

All Proton eMas 7 variants currently qualify for a limited-time Special Launch Rebate of RM 7,000. With the rebate applied, pricing starts from RM 96,800 for the Prime variant, up to RM 118,800 for the range-topping Premium Plus variant.
