UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) recorded over 7,300 units in June 2026, bringing total Q2 2026 sales to more than 20,800 units and year-to-date (YTD) sales to above 36,200 units. The quarter reflected sustained customer demand across Toyota's core model range, supported by an expanding electrified lineup and continued customer engagement initiatives.

Throughout Q2, UMWT continued to broaden Toyota's Multi-Pathway Electrification Strategy, offering mobility solutions suited to different customer lifestyles and levels of EV readiness. This builds on the earlier introduction of Toyota's Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) lineup — comprising the bZ4X, Urban Cruiser BEV and Hilux BEV — alongside the all-new Yaris Cross, offered in both ICE and hybrid-electric (HEV) variants.

Datuk Ravindran K., President of UMW Toyota Motor, said: "Our second quarter performance reflects continued customer confidence in Toyota's product line-up and the choices we are bringing to market. Our commitment goes beyond introducing new products. We are focused on building an ecosystem that gives customers greater choice, confidence and convenience throughout their ownership journey. By combining our Multi-Pathway approach with innovations that showcase the future of mobility and initiatives that strengthen everyday ownership, we continue to deliver solutions that are meaningful, dependable and relevant for Malaysians."

UMWT continues to build out Toyota Extra Mile, its post-purchase ownership programme structured around six pillars: Extra Rewards, Extra Protection, Extra Convenience, Extra Peace of Mind, Extra Security and Extra Care. The programme covers rewards, vehicle protection, service access, customer assurance, security support and general care, aimed at strengthening the ownership experience beyond the point of sale.
