BAIC Indonesia has previewed the Arcfox T1 hatchback EV for local media in Jakarta, giving the first clear look at a new battery-electric (BEV) model that is expected to become one of the brand’s main attraction at GIIAS 2026.
The model was shown on 9 July 2026 at the BAIC Alam Sutera dealer under PT JIO Distribusi Indonesia, although the company has not announced an official retail price yet.
What BAIC has disclosed so far is a broad price indication from the IDR 300 million (~RM 68k) range, based on material shown in its product introduction presentation.

That places the Arcfox T1 in a competitive spot for Indonesia’s compact EV market, where it will be compared with models such as the BYD Dolphin.
BAIC says the T1 comes from its premium Arcfox sub-brand in China, and its size is one of the model’s main talking points.
The hatchback measures 4,337 mm long, 1,860 mm wide and 1,572 mm tall, with a 2,770 mm wheelbase. BAIC is also positioning it as slightly larger than the BYD Dolphin, which is around 4.2 metres long.
The Arcfox T1 uses a 42.3 kWh battery pack and claims up to 430 km of driving range. The company also says the battery can be charged from 20 to 80 per cent in 25 minutes using DC fast charging.
Power output is listed at 96 PS and 176 Nm of torque, which suggests the T1 is aimed more at everyday urban use than high-performance driving.

In terms of ownership support, PT JIO Distribusi Indonesia says the model will be sold with a Basic Vehicle warranty of 6 years or 160,000 km, a Battery warranty of 8 years or 160,000 km, and free service for 4 years or 80,000 km.
For now, BAIC has only confirmed the Indonesian market rollout and has not said whether the Arcfox T1, or any of its specifications and pricing, will be carried over to Malaysia, although Arcfox will be coming to Malaysia, as seen on its social media pages.
