CKD iCaur V23 teased, upgraded CKD EV to offer more features than CBU?

iCaur Malaysia has begun teasing what appears to be the locally-assembled (CKD) version of the V23, posting a short video on its social media channels with the caption: "A new local player is arriving."

While the company has yet to reveal any technical details or confirm what changes are in store, information shared by several dealers suggests the CKD V23 could receive a number of updates over the imported (CBU) model.

Among the reported changes are redesigned exterior side mirrors, said to improve visibility while giving the electric SUV a more premium appearance.

Dealers have also indicated that the infotainment system will receive software refinements, with Android Auto said to offer faster connectivity, improved stability, better compatibility with Android devices and a more reliable navigation experience.

Beyond these reported revisions, the V23's mechanical package is expected to remain unchanged. Dealer information points to the continuation of the dual-motor all-wheel drive (iWD) variant, producing 211 PS and 292 Nm of torque, paired with an 81.76-kWh battery that offers a WLTP-rated driving range of up to 430 km. 

The equipment list is also expected to carry over, including Level 2 ADAS, a 540-degree panoramic camera, Infinity premium audio system, and a 15.4-inch touchscreen infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

For now, however, these specifications remain unofficial, as iCaur Malaysia has yet to announce full details of the CKD V23. With the teaser now out, an official reveal is likely to take place in the coming weeks.
