BYD Auto Sales General Manager Zhang Zhuo has shared the official images of the 2027 BYD Seal 06 on social media. While the new model receives a comprehensive exterior refresh, its biggest highlight is the addition of a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor, marking a significant upgrade to the D-segment sedan's advanced driver assistance capabilities.
Note:
1. Vehicle segment classifications differ between China and Malaysia. Under China's classification system, models such as the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry are considered B-segment vehicles, whereas they are generally classified as D-segment models in the Malaysian market.
2. The BYD Seal 06 featured here is not the same model as the Seal 6 EV sold in Malaysia. The Malaysian-market Seal 6 EV is marketed as the Qin L EV in China, while the Seal 06 belongs to a different model line.
Based on the official images, the 2027 BYD Seal 06 EV retains the sleek, coupe-like silhouette of the current model while introducing a series of subtle styling updates that give it a more modern and high-tech appearance.
The front end adopts a cleaner and more streamlined design, with the previous lower grille removed from the front bumper. The side air intakes have also been reshaped, while the slimmer, sharper headlamps now feature smoked dual-projector LED units.

In terms of dimensions, the new car measures 4,870 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,495 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm.
At the rear, the vehicle retains the signature full-width taillight design of the BYD Ocean series, but the internal light signature has been redesigned to create a cleaner and more contemporary appearance while improving nighttime visibility.

The 2027 BYD Seal 06 offers a choice of two single-motor configurations, producing 120 kW and 240 kW respectively.
Battery-wise, the new model continues to utilise a reliable lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, balancing daily driving range with safety.
