Honda Malaysia has updated the popular CR-V SUV by simplifying its variant range while making its hybrid technology more accessible than before.

Gone are the petrol-only S and E variants. The range now consists of just three versions, with the new E 2.0L e:HEV as the new base model — marking the first time Honda Malaysia offers two hybrid variants in one model line.

Price list (on-the-road without insurance)
Honda CR-V E 2.0L e:HEV: RM178,200
Honda CR-V 1.5L V AWD: RM181,900
Honda CR-V RS 2.0L e:HEV: RM195,900
While the new starting price is RM18,300 higher than the old petrol S variant, the entry point for a hybrid CR-V is now RM17,700 cheaper, as the e:HEV system previously only available on the top RS is now standard on the base E.
Powertrains
Under the hood, the updated Honda CR-V is available with two distinct powertrain options. The E and RS variants are equipped with a 2.0L e:HEV series‑parallel hybrid system, featuring a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that delivers 148 hp and 190 Nm, paired with an electric motor producing 184 hp and 335 Nm, mated to an e-CVT gearbox. This hybrid setup allows the CR-V to accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 8.9 seconds, reach a top speed of 185 km/h, and return a fuel efficiency rating of 5.0 L/100km.

Meanwhile, the 1.5L V AWD variant uses a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine generating 193 hp and 243 Nm, connected to a CVT transmission and Honda’s Real Time AWD system. It completes the 0–100 km/h sprint in 10.0 seconds, hits a top speed of 200 km/h, and has a rated fuel consumption of 7.5 L/100km.
Exterior & Equipment
A new Blazing Red Pearl colour joins the existing palette, making four exterior choices total. All variants now come with Honda-authorised Ecotint solar and security film as standard.

V: Silver alloy wheels, roof rails, 10.2-inch digital meter
