Volvo Car Malaysia has expanded its all-electric line-up with the launch of the Volvo ES90 Ultra, a fully-specified premium EV sedan priced at RM339,888 (on-the-road, without insurance). Bookings are open now, with local deliveries set to kick off in March 2026 – and early bird perks are up for grabs for buyers who lock in their orders soon.
Powered by a rear-wheel drive single electric motor, the ES90 Ultra churns out 245 kW (333 hp) and 480 Nm of torque, sprinting from 0-100 km/h in 6.6 seconds (top speed electronically limited to 180 km/h). It’s fitted with a nickel-rich NCM lithium-ion battery (92 kWh gross, 88 kWh usable), delivering a claimed 651 km WLTP range – perfect for daily commutes and long-distance drives across Malaysia.
On the charging front, the sedan supports Type 2 AC and CCS2 DC charging:
- 350kW DC fast charge: 10–80% in just 22 mins (ideal for highway rest stops)
- 11kW AC charge: full 0–100% in 10 hrs | 7.4kW AC charge: 15 hrs
- 50kW DC charge: 10–80% in 82 mins (for standard public chargers)
The ES90 Ultra is kitted out with Volvo’s signature premium and tech features as standard, no extra trims needed: a 14.5-inch central touchscreen, 9-inch digital driver display, head-up display, and a high-fidelity Bowers & Wilkins sound system. Connectivity includes wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, Volvo Car Connect Plus, Digital Key Plus, and over-the-air updates – with 5 years of free Google services (Assistant, Maps, Play Store) included (subscription required after).
Comfort is a priority, with Active Air Suspension, four-zone auto climate control, an electrochromic panoramic sunroof, and power-operated tailgate. The seats boast power adjustment (with memory and 4-way lumbar support), power side bolsters, ventilated front & rear seats, front seat massage, and power-reclining rear seats – all trimmed in Charcoal Nordico upholstery with Birch Wood décor.
