At the 2026 Chengdu Motor Show, Hyundai has introduced its new IONIQ V, offered with both pure-electric and range-extender powertrains.
Pre-orders are now open, with prices ranging from RMB 119,900 to RMB 139,900 (around RM 73k to RM 85k). The model is expected to launch soon.

The IONIQ V was developed entirely by Hyundai's China Design Centre. Designed for the Chinese and wider Asian markets, it is also set to be exported to global markets.
The IONIQ V features a low-slung fastback profile, with wide proportions that give it a sporty, low-to-the-ground stance.

Along the sides, it features frameless doors and V-Motion alloy wheels, while the rear features a Dimensional Star Track full-width taillight.

The IONIQ V is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, along with two AI large language models for in-car functions and interaction.

It also comes with Momenta's intelligent driving assistance system, supporting Level 2+ assisted driving.

The IONIQ V is built on Hyundai's E-GMP platform and is available with two powertrain options: pure-electric (EV) and range-extender (REEV).
