2026 Honda City facelift heading to northern region this weekend – Kedah, Penang and Perak

Penang, Kedah and Perak, your turn!

The 2026 Honda City facelift is heading your way this weekend, giving customers in Kedah, Penang and Perak a chance to see the updated B-segment sedan before it officially goes on sale.

The Northern Region tour will run from 10am to 10pm, with the City facelift stopping at four locations from 18 to 20 September.

Northern Region tour

Kedah (Alor Setar): 18 September; Aman Central, Central Atrium

Penang (George Town): 19 September; Gurney Paragon, Kelawei Entrance

Penang (Perai): 19–20 September; Juru Auto City

Perak (Ipoh): 20 September; AEON Mall Ipoh Station 18, Main Entrance 3

The Perai stop will run 24 hours, giving visitors more flexibility to check out the new City.

What's New on the 2026 Honda City facelift?

A sharper new look

The 2026 City facelift gets a revised front end with slimmer LED headlights, while the RS version upgrades to Bi-LED projector headlights. The front bumper has also been redesigned.

The Honda badge has been moved higher onto the body-coloured section of the front end. On the RS, a full-width LED light bar adds to the sportier appearance — even like a Civic.

At the rear, the RS gets smoked-clear Albino style tail-lights, a more aggressive bumper and new 16-inch dual-tone turbine-style alloy wheels. The wheels are paired with Toyo Proxes R57 tyres.

More tech inside

The biggest cabin upgrade is a new 10-inch display, which comes standard from the V variant onwards. The interior also gets silver trim, red accents and ambient lighting.

The display also integrates the 360-degree Multi-View Camera, which supports multiple viewing angles and moving-object detection. Drivers can switch between views using the stalk on the left side of the steering wheel.

Honda Sensing remains standard across the range, while the facelift adds blind spot monitoring (BSM) and rear cross traffic alert (RCTA).

The system works alongside the existing LaneWatch camera, which monitors the right-side blind spot. The left side now gets conventional radar-based blind spot monitoring, giving the City two systems working together to improve visibility when changing lanes.

The e:HEV RS hybrid also gets a wireless phone charger.

Same powertrains, lower fuel use

The facelift keeps the existing powertrain options.

The petrol version uses the familiar 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC engine, producing 121 PS and 145 Nm and paired with an Earth Dreams CVT.

The e:HEV RS uses Honda's i-MMD hybrid system, with its electric motor producing 109 PS and 253 Nm. The hybrid setup combines low fuel consumption with the instant torque delivery of an electric motor.

RM 3,000 early-bird reward

Honda Malaysia has yet to announce the price of the 2026 City facelift. The current City is priced from RM 84,900 to RM 111,900.

Bookings are already open, however, and customers who place an order between 27 August and 30 September 2026 will receive an RM 3,000 Early Bird Reward.

Bookings can be made through Honda Malaysia's official booking website, any authorised Honda dealer nationwide or the HondaTouch app.

With the City facelift making its way around the northern region this weekend, local customers can get a closer look at the new design and equipment before its official launch.

Thinking about the new City facelift? If you had to choose, would you go for the petrol model or the e:HEV?
