Exterior

The 2027 Camry looks much the same as before, carrying over Toyota's latest design with LED headlights and tail lights.

The new Camry measures 4,915mm long, 1,850mm wide and 1,450mm tall, with a 2,825mm wheelbase.

Inside the new Camry

The biggest changes are inside, where the 2027 Camry gets a more upmarket cabin with soft-touch materials throughout, along with suede-style trim on the headliner.

The tech upgrade is even more noticeable, with an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and a colour head-up display.

A 15.6-inch central touchscreen is standard across the range.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8155P chip powers the infotainment system. The AI Xiaoyue voice assistant can control functions such as the windows, air conditioning and navigation, and also supports dual-zone voice recognition and continuous conversations.

Apple CarPlay, HUAWEI HiCar 5.0 and ICCOA Carlink are supported, along with OTA updates.

Comfort and practicality

The higher-spec Camry comes with heated, ventilated and massaging front seats, while the rear seats also offer power adjustment, heating and ventilation – a fairly uncommon combination in this segment.

Toyota has also done away with the spare wheel, freeing up more space in the boot.

Powertrain options

The 2027 Camry continues to offer two 2.0-litre powertrain options.

The 2.0-litre petrol model produces 127 kW and comes with a simulated 10-speed CVT.

The 2.0-litre hybrid combines for 145 kW and uses an E-CVT, offering a balance of performance and fuel economy.

In Malaysia, the Camry is offered in two variants:

  • HEV 2.5L Standard: RM 248,800
  • 2.5L Standard: RM 221,800
