2027 Zeekr 7X set for Q4 China launch with new 85kWh Golden Brick battery option

Zeekr has confirmed updates for the 2027 Zeekr 7X, with the electric SUV set to enter the Chinese market in the fourth quarter with a new 85 kWh Golden Brick battery variant.

The new 7X introduces new exterior and interior colour options, while keeping the same design that has helped the 7X become one of Zeekr's best-selling models globally. It also features Donnie Yen as its ambassador.

Since its launch, the Zeekr 7X has expanded into more than 50 markets worldwide, attracting nearly 200,000 owners. It has also been a strong performer in overseas markets, topping its segment in the first half of the year in regions including Hong Kong, Malaysia, Australia, Mexico and Egypt.

For the 2027 model, Zeekr is focusing on three areas: styling, comfort and safety.

The new black styling package adds dark exterior elements and 20-inch black alloy wheels, giving the SUV a more distinctive look.

The 7X also continues to feature Zeekr's Magic Carpet air suspension, which adjusts the ride to improve comfort across different road conditions.

Safety remains another key focus, with the SUV using a high-strength submarine-inspired steel body structure and achieving five-star ratings in global safety tests.

With the Zeekr 7X already gaining a stronger presence on Malaysian roads, the arrival of the updated model — particularly the new 85kWh battery option — will be one to watch if Zeekr expands the lineup further in Malaysia.
