A new spy photo of Geely's upcoming E211 electric hatchback has surfaced in China, this time showing the heavily camouflaged test vehicle from the side. The model is believed to be a smaller EV positioned below the Geely Xingyuan, which is sold in Malaysia as the Proton e.MAS 5.
The latest image gives a clearer look at the E211's overall proportions, revealing a compact five-door hatchback with a relatively upright roofline, short overhangs and small wheels. Much of the exterior remains concealed, including the final styling of its headlights, bumpers and rear end.
The E211 has been spotted undergoing testing in China on several occasions, although Geely has yet to announce its official production name, specifications or launch date.

The E211 is particularly interesting for Malaysia because Proton previously registered the e.MAS 3 trademark in September 2024, alongside other names for its electrified vehicle lineup.
With the Proton e.MAS 5 based on the Geely Xingyuan and the larger e.MAS 7 derived from the Geely Galaxy E5, a smaller Geely electric hatchback could potentially provide the basis for an entry-level Proton EV.
The e.MAS 3 name would also fit logically beneath the existing e.MAS 5, although Proton has not confirmed whether it intends to use the name for a production model.

For now, little is known about the E211's mechanical specifications. Details such as its battery capacity, motor output, driving range and pricing remain undisclosed.
Nevertheless, if the E211 is indeed positioned below the Xingyuan, it could eventually offer a more affordable alternative to the e.MAS 5, which currently starts from RM59,800 in Malaysia.
