Arcfox Alpha-T5

2026-10-06 07:30:00

The Arcfox Alpha-T5 is a D-segment all-electric SUV launched by the Arcfox brand in late 2023, aimed squarely at the mainstream family car segment. Unlike earlier high-end Alpha models, the Alpha-T5 shifts its focus towards "core family requirements". Combining an ultra-healthy cabin environment, cutting-edge cockpit-driving integration, and aggressive value-for-money pricing, it has emerged as the primary sales driver for Arcfox in 2026.

Vehicle Overview

The Arcfox Alpha-T5 is positioned as a D-segment pure electric SUV, measuring approximately 4,690 mm long, 1,936 mm wide, and 1,650 mm tall, with a 2,845 mm wheelbase. Its core highlights revolve around being an "All-Rounder Family Car", a "Pioneer in Cockpit-Driving Integration", and a "Healthy Cabin Benchmark". Key selling points include:

Ultra-healthy cabin: Fitted extensively with 11.75 square metres of baby-soother-grade, skin-friendly interior trim, the cabin emits exceptionally low formaldehyde levels at room temperature. Setting an industry benchmark for "zero formaldehyde and zero benzene" living spaces, it caters directly to families with toddlers.

Cockpit-driving integrated architecture: As the first production vehicle to deploy Zhuoyu Technology's SA8775P single-chip computing platform, it consolidates both infotainment and ADAS processing into one chip, drastically sharpening interaction response times whilst trimming packaging space and production costs.

High-standard safety architecture: Submarine-grade 1,500 MPa hot-stamped steel is utilised across vital structural areas, delivering a torsional rigidity of 47,119 N·m/deg to rank among the industry’s best for robust crash protection.

Development History

Debut and market entry (2023–2024): The Alpha-T5 made its official debut in December 2023. Conceived to plug the brand's gap in the competitive RM150,000 mainstream family SUV segment, it rapidly gained traction courtesy of its compelling price-to-spec ratio.

Technological evolution (2025): In October 2025, the facelifted Alpha-T5 arrived with targeted creature comfort enhancements, including an electric panoramic roof sunblind to bolster cabin heat insulation during hot weather. With starting prices lowered to RM109,800, its market competitiveness was further sharpened.

ADAS upgrades (2026): By 2026, the Alpha-T5 received substantial ADAS updates. Developed in deep partnership with Zhuoyu Technology, it introduced an end-to-end autonomous driving solution driven by inertial navigation binocular stereo vision, unlocking full-scenario capabilities spanning Urban Navigation on Autopilot (NOA), Highway NOA, and Automated Parking Assist.

Market Performance

Target demographic: Geared predominantly towards young urban families prioritising uncompromised safety, cabin health, refined family living, and state-of-the-art tech.

Market standing: Serving as the linchpin in Arcfox's volume-driven transformation, the Alpha-T5's keen pricing and solid product fundamentals have made it the brand's cornerstone in the mainstream SUV arena for 2026, steadily propelling overall delivery figures.

Competitive landscape: In the fiercely contested RM100,000–RM150,000 EV bracket, the SUV takes the fight to rivals like the BYD Yuan PLUS and AION V with "class-above" equipment, carving out a distinct edge through cabin air wellness and next-gen electronic architecture.

Core Technologies

Intelligent architecture: Powered by the SA8775P cockpit-driving domain controller, reduced data latency delivers near-instant response for the "Little Fox" voice assistant and driver assistance graphics, alongside full support for seamless Over-The-Air (OTA) updates.

Vision algorithms: Built upon an inertial navigation binocular stereo vision suite, the system excels in 3D spatial perception. Augmented by binocular OCC (Occupancy Network) algorithms, it delivers dependable recognition through tricky lighting, adverse weather, and non-standard road hazards.

Powertrain and dynamics: Featuring an efficient electric drive unit coupled with advanced thermal management, it stops from 100 to 0 km/h in just 35.7 metres and clears the moose test at 76 km/h, striking an exemplary balance between ride, handling, and active safety.

Future Plans

As of 2026, the Alpha-T5 spearheads Arcfox's dual-track strategy targeting both mainstream volume and premium presence. Going forward, the nameplate will continue to champion its "family health and safety" ethos while supporting the brand's wider global export ambitions. Engineering teams are currently refining next-generation algorithm models to extract greater capability from the vision-based hardware, ensuring international buyers enjoy an intelligent, highly secure ownership experience backed by outstanding value.
