In the automotive world of 2026, "Bovensiepen" has officially transformed from a behind-the-scenes family surname into an ultra-high-end, independently manufactured luxury car brand.
For a long time, the Bovensiepen family was at the helm of the legendary brand Alpina. As the Alpina brand was officially acquired by BMW in 2022 and renamed "BMW Alpina," it was fully incorporated into the BMW Group landscape starting from January 1, 2026. Consequently, the Bovensiepen family opened a new chapter at their headquarters in Buchloe.

If the previous Alpina was based on "deep performance evolution" from BMW, then the 2026 Bovensiepen represents a "fully hand-built Coachbuilt" reconstruction based on BMW chassis. It no longer pursues production scale, but instead focuses on extreme scarcity and highly manual, craftsmanship-driven, art-level driving machines. Positioned higher than the original Alpina, it aims directly at the niche market between Bentley and Rolls-Royce.
This is the first totem work after the brand's establishment, jointly created by the Bovensiepen family and the Italian century-old design company Zagato.
Technical Basis: The vehicle is developed based on the BMW M4 Competition (G83) convertible chassis, but in pursuit of ultimate elegant lines, Bovensiepen removed the original folding roof structure, reconstructing it into a fixed hardtop coupe without B-pillars.
Performance: Equipped with a deeply reinforced S58 3.0L inline-six twin-turbocharged engine.
Maximum Horsepower: 611 hp (620 PS)
Maximum Torque: 700 Nm
Acceleration Performance: 0-100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds.
Top Speed: Exceeds 300 km/h.
Core Selling Points:
Full Carbon Fiber Body: The external cladding is composed of over 400 independent carbon fiber parts, not only reducing weight by approximately 50kg, but also showcasing Zagato's signature "Double Bubble (Double-Bubble)" roof.
Ultimate Craftsmanship: Each car requires over 250 hours to assemble, of which the manual laying of the Lavalina full leather interior alone takes 130 hours.
Rarity: Globally limited to only 99 units.
Price: German starting price is approximately 369,000 Euros, deliveries officially begin in the second quarter of 2026.
Lavalina Leather: The Bovensiepen family retains exclusive rights to this top-tier leather. In the 2026 models, owners can choose from 16 custom colors, including stitching craftsmanship perfectly matching the paint color.
Titanium Exhaust: All models come standard with a titanium exhaust system customized by Akrapovič (Scorpion) for them, reducing weight by 22kg compared to the original factory.
Forged Wheels: Continues the classic 20-spoke design, but in 2026 adopted a lighter, higher strength three-piece forged process.
2026 is the first year the Bovensiepen family transforms from "Official Tuner" to "Independent Body Manufacturer". With the successful debut of Bovensiepen Zagato at top auto shows like Villa d'Este Pebble Beach, the brand plans to launch its next ultra-limited model based on the 8 Series or Neue Klasse platform in 2027.
For top collectors pursuing "German Engineering Soul + Italian Artistic Appearance", Bovensiepen has become a more prestigious and rare choice than the M Division or AMG.
