On May 27, the all-new MG 4X officially launched. Among them, the all-new MG 4X 510 Semi-Solid Intelligent Enjoyment Edition and the all-new MG 4X 610 Intelligent Enjoyment Edition are equipped with the Horizon Robotics Journey®6E intelligent driving chip. As the optimal computing solution for highway NOA, the Journey®6E brings cross-level advanced intelligent driving experience to mainstream family pure electric models. This cooperation marks another deep collaboration between Horizon Robotics and SAIC Motor Group after the Journey®6E was equipped in multiple popular models under SAIC Group in August 2025, further confirming the product strength and market recognition of the Journey®6E.

Journey®6E Hardcore Boost
Setting the Benchmark for Home Vehicle Intelligent Driving
As a quality driving fun pure electric SUV for family users, the all-new MG 4X is built on SAIC's Nebula Pure Electric Exclusive Architecture. The new car adopts a rear-motor rear-drive layout and five-link independent suspension, with a stable chassis and smooth handling, adapting to multi-scenario travel such as city commuting and family outings; The maximum CLTC range reaches 610 kilometers. The interior adopts an enveloping light luxury layout combined with a high-definition central control screen, balancing practicality, comfort, and safety, bringing a cross-level driving experience for family users.
In terms of intelligent assisted driving capabilities, the MG 4X is based on the Horizon Robotics Journey®6E intelligent driving chip, paired with a game theory large model that better understands Chinese road conditions. Highway NOA can accurately predict the intentions of traffic participants and actively avoid obstacles, significantly reducing driving fatigue; Intelligent parking supports DIY parking, dead-end road parking, low-speed real-time parking lot search and other all-scenario capabilities, making every parking maneuver convenient, efficient, calm, and worry-free.

As the core computing power base for whole-vehicle intelligence, the Journey®6E is equipped with Horizon Robotics' third-generation BPU Nash architecture, natively supports highway NOA functionality, and Transformer computing efficiency is 10 times higher than the previous generation, capable of efficiently supporting real-time large model computation. The chip adopts a high-integration automotive-grade design, supporting passive heat dissipation and low-power stable operation, perfectly adapting to 4D millimeter-wave radar and 8-megapixel sensor fusion solutions, providing reliable protection for assisted driving.
Nine-Year Deep Strategic Cooperation
Horizon Robotics Continuously Assists SAIC Motor Group in Intelligent Driving Upgrade
The cooperation between Horizon Robotics and SAIC Motor Group began in 2017 and has now formed a deeply bound strategic partnership. In 2019, SAIC Motor Group participated in Horizon Robotics' Series B financing; the following year, both parties jointly established the SAIC-Horizon Robotics Joint Laboratory, laying the foundation for long-term cooperative R&D.
In terms of mass production landing, from the Journey®2 and Journey®3 achieving mass production of L2 level assisted driving in 2022, to the Journey®6 series equipping SAIC mid-to-high-end intelligent driving platforms in 2025, both parties' cooperation continues to advance. This all-new MG 4X relies on the Horizon Robotics Journey®6E intelligent driving chip, bringing the highway NOA experience to a more mainstream family vehicle market, accelerating the popularization process of high-level intelligent driving.
In terms of global layout, the MG ES5 model cooperated by both parties is equipped with the Journey®3 intelligent driving chip and has been launched in many countries including the UK, Thailand, and Chile, achieving mass production of Horizon Robotics' intelligent driving solutions on export vehicles. In the future, Horizon Robotics will continue to empower SAIC's all-scenario NOA high-level solutions, bringing Chinese intelligent driving technology to a broader international market.
Further Expansion of Mass Production Map
Journey®6 Series Accelerates the Process of Intelligent Driving Popularization
The launch of the all-new MG 4X means the Horizon Robotics Journey®6 series mass production map has captured another city. Currently, the Journey®6 series has achieved full matrix, cross-brand, and comprehensive coverage domestically and internationally. Multiple chips in the full series have secured over 40 cooperative brands and over 400 vehicle model designations, serving over 6 million car owners, and are simultaneously equipped on multiple export vehicles, with landings fully rolled out both domestically and internationally.
As the only chip solution domestically that meets the mass production requirements of full-stage assisted driving, the Journey®6 series computing power covers 10TOPS-560TOPS and can flexibly adapt to the intelligent driving needs of vehicles at different price levels and classes. As of August 2025, the shipment volume of Horizon Robotics' Journey family chips has broken through 10 million sets. Technical maturity and product stability lead the industry, providing car companies with an efficient and reliable intelligent driving computing base.

Facing the future, Horizon Robotics will take the software and hardware integrated technical base and 10 million-level mass production strength as the cornerstone, join hands with SAIC Motor Group and more car companies, accelerate the popularization process of intelligent driving technology, and let Chinese intelligent driving solutions drive towards a broader world stage.
