The 28th Chongqing International Automobile Exhibition opened today. Avatr showcased its full range of products and debuted its brand's first concept car, VISION XPECTRA, in the Mountain City.

Playing on home turf with a full lineup, this was the basic prediction outsiders had for Avatr's appearance. However, upon closely dissecting the booth content, at this Chongqing Auto Show, what Avatr presented carried more weight than mere spectacle.
VISION XPECTRA: This Concept Car Is Worth a Serious Look
VISION XPECTRA previously made its overseas premiere in Munich; this time, it welcomes its formal domestic debut in Chongqing.
The design logic of this concept car does not follow the mainstream direction of the current market. Most concept cars on the market either pile up sci-fi elements or replicate the language system of European luxury, leading to homogenized aesthetics overall. VISION XPECTRA's panoramic prism cabin borrows geometric logic from crystal facets; the processing of light and shadow layers is restrained, without an excessive sense of piling.
The interior uses inflatable materials and 3D knitting techniques extensively, creating a soft texture uncommon in intelligent luxury models in terms of touch and vision, forming a contrast with cold technological sense—this orientation is clear in pursuing the "warm cabin experience".

Evidence backing from the design level has already emerged. Between 2024 and 2026, Avatr 11, 12, 07, and 06 mass-produced models successively won international design awards such as Red Dot, iF, and IDA. Relying on the two design centers in Munich and Shanghai, a team of over 200 designers from 25 countries around the world is forming an original aesthetic system with distinctiveness.
According to Avatr's plan, starting from the second generation of products, the design DNA of VISION XPECTRA will gradually be extended to mass-produced models. The market will verify this commitment with subsequent products.
Taihang Intelligent Control 2.0: Technology Implementation, Not Just PPTs on the Booth
Compared to the futuristic feel of concept cars, Taihang Intelligent Control 2.0 is a technology already running on delivery models. Both the new Avatr 12 and Avatr 06T are equipped with it.
The core of this system is introducing Taihang distributed electric drive technology, with four wheels independently and precisely intervening, responding to road condition changes faster and more delicately than traditional centralized electric drive. In terms of performance, the system's maximum power is 712kW, 0-100 km/h acceleration is 2.71 seconds; in terms of safety, it covers extreme conditions such as stable driving with 220km/h four-wheel tire blowouts, anti-sway on slippery roads, and normal starts on 20% icy/snowy slopes, and is equipped with fully redundant brake backup—when mechanical braking fails, the electric drive system can still provide effective braking force.

To allow this technology to undergo actual testing, Avatr launched the "Taihang Safety Salon" in 10 cities across the country this month, and simultaneously implemented "Taihang Safety Experience Camps" in eight regions, opening up real-world test experiences around real scenarios such as acceleration without slipping, cornering without swaying, and lane changing without shaking. Replacing booth presentations with on-site driving, this verification method itself is a form of attitude.
Huawei and CATL: Technology Priority Brought by Shareholder Relationships
The relationship between Avatr and Huawei and CATL is not ordinary supplier cooperation, but a deep binding at the technical shareholder level. The core advantage brought by this structure is the priority in the sequence of new technology implementation.
Currently, Avatr has already equipped the globally mass-produced highest specification 896-line LiDAR from Huawei Qiankun; the new generation solutions such as Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 and HarmonyOS Cockpit HarmonySpace 6, Avatr will be among the first to equip. On the CATL side, supercharging technology has been completed for vehicle installation, and the qualification for the first launch of condensed state batteries is also with Avatr.
The combination of this technology supply chain is scarce domestically; it is not a depth of cooperation that can be replicated by money alone.
Two Cards for the Second Half: 07L and Flagship Large Six-Seater
In terms of product rhythm, Avatr has scheduled two key nodes for the second half of the year.

In the third quarter, the Intelligent Luxury Large Five-Seater SUV Avatr 07L will be officially launched. This positioning fills a gap in the existing product matrix—11 is a Coupe SUV, the 06 series focuses on young performance, 12 is a large sedan, the true five-seater mid-to-large SUV facing family daily travel, balancing practicality and premium feel, is taken over by 07L. The demand for this sub-segment truly exists; the actual competitiveness after product implementation is the key variable.
The flagship large six-seater SUV to debut this year, first equipped with CATL Qilin Condensed State Battery, clearly points to the high-end SUV market above 400,000 yuan, representing an assault by Avatr towards a higher price segment.
Five Years of Accumulation, Standing at the Entrance of a New Cycle
Five years after establishment, Avatr has cumulatively won over 260,000 users, laid out over 700 channel touchpoints in more than 200 cities nationwide, and entered more than 40 countries and regions overseas. In the Thailand market, Avatr 11 has long held the top position in sales of high-end electric vehicles; by the end of 2026, the brand will also officially land in the European market.
By 2030, Avatr's goal is a global annual sales of 800,000 vehicles, overseas share over 40%, covering 110 countries and regions, and launching 17 all-new models covering sedans, SUVs, and MPVs.
Whether these target numbers can be achieved depends on the market performance of every product starting from now. At this appearance of the Chongqing Auto Show, Avatr laid out design strength, technical accumulation, and second-half product rhythm all at once. Next, it is left to the market to verify.
