SAIC-GM-Wuling recently disclosed publicly that the total number of owners of its full series of short-commuter vehicles is about to break the 3 million threshold. The brand has specifically scheduled to launch the "Vibrant Life, Playful Spirit Unleashed" themed event on August 7 to celebrate the 6th anniversary of the Hongguang MINIEV's launch, witnessing the market milestones created by this national commuter vehicle model.

As early as 2017, Wuling was the first to layout the micro short-trip travel track, successively launching Baojun E100, E200, Hongguang MINIEV, and the Bingo series of multiple models. It built a commuter product matrix with a clear hierarchy covering diverse needs, precisely matching the daily commuting needs of different consumers. Two major models support the brand's sales baseline. Hongguang MINIEV, thanks to advantages such as a compact body that is easy to park, low usage costs, and rich space for appearance modification, has accumulated over 1.95 million owners, ranking first in domestic A00-level pure electric vehicle sales for 71 consecutive months, with cumulative sales topping the global micro new energy vehicle list. The Bingo series, focusing on a refined home positioning, has garnered over 750,000 users, forming differentiated complementarity with Hongguang MINIEV and catering to both affordable commuting and quality home-use consumer groups.
Beyond solidifying the domestic market baseline, Wuling accelerated the global layout of commuter vehicles. On July 29, the 5th generation Hongguang MINIEV debuted at the Indonesia GIIAS International Auto Show under the new name Wuling Aira ev, formally launching the process of large-scale export. The local new car starting price is 155 million Indonesian Rupiah, equivalent to approximately 59,615 RMB. To cater to the aesthetics of the overseas young consumer group, this export new car collaborated with Disney•Pixar's "Toy Story 5" for a crossover, leveraging popular IP to close the distance with local consumers and conveying the idea of affordable and accessible commuter travel.
From deepening domestic urban short-trip travel to advancing into the Southeast Asian market with major models, Wuling achieved a market breakthrough relying on product positioning that matches users' real needs. 3 million users are both recognition given by the market and also become the confidence for the brand to continuously develop the domestic and overseas commuter markets. In the future, Wuling will rely on a mature product matrix to continuously explore the growth space of micro new energy commuter vehicles domestically and overseas.
