On October 20, the 1 millionth mass production Geely Star Wish vehicle rolled off the line at the Xiangtan Manufacturing Base. Launched in October 2024, this A0-class pure electric sedan completed 1 million roll-offs in just 24 months, setting a new global record for mass production of 1 million units in this vehicle class. The base adopted a double-shift flexible production model, completing a whole vehicle every 55 seconds on average, verifying the efficiency advantage of intelligent manufacturing.
Refined across five key product directions—Space, Intelligence, Range, Handling, and Safety—the Star Wish quickly secured its position in the mass-market pure electric commuting segment.
Data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) shows the vehicle ranked first in annual sales across all domestic car categories in 2025. In August and September 2026, single-month sales exceeded 60,000 units consecutively. Meanwhile, the model steadily expanded globally, entering over 30 countries and regions, achieving notable rankings in markets such as Thailand, Jordan, and Mexico, becoming one of the leading Chinese new energy vehicles for export.
Leveraging digital means such as 5G and industrial visual inspection, the Xiangtan base achieved mixed-model line production. The supporting Flash Energy Battery project simultaneously formed an annual 10GWh battery pack capacity, driving the development of the local industrial chain cluster. In terms of durability, 200,000-kilometer user vehicle tests were completed in collaboration with CATARC. The range achievement rate and moose test indicator degradation were minimal, verifying long-term usage stability.
The achievement of one million units is not only a market victory for a single model but also a sign of the gradual maturity of the new energy vehicle industry chain in the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan region. Using two years to complete a dual ramp-up in production capacity and sales, this model establishes a new reference sample for the affordable pure electric commuting market. Subsequent continuous expansion in overseas markets will continue to test the competitiveness of this product and manufacturing system.
