Condo Residents Can Finally Charge Their EVs More Easily

PRO-NET, a subsidiary of PROTON, has expanded the Proton e.MAS charging ecosystem across Malaysia, especially for high-rise and condo residents.

Currently, the network offers over 1,500 charging points across more than 500 participating condominiums and high-rise residences nationwide, making it one of the largest residential EV charging networks in Malaysia. Key coverage areas include Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, followed by Penang, Johor, Sabah, and Sarawak.

This expansion aims to solve one of the main challenges for EV adoption in urban areas, limited access to home charging for condo residents. With this setup, users can now enjoy more convenient charging without needing a private wallbox installation.

For Proton e.MAS owners, residential charging is available through the Proton e.MAS App at a special rate starting from RM0.63/kWh, offering a more cost-efficient alternative for daily EV usage. This promotional rate will be available until 31 December 2026.

The initiative aims to solve one of the main challenges for EV adoption in Malaysia, charging access for condo and high-rise residents who do not have private home chargers.

According to PRO-NET, the goal is to integrate charging access into a more seamless ecosystem, allowing users to locate, activate, and manage charging through a single app experience.
