MG Malaysia has showcased the second-generation MG ZS at the ongoing 2026 Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (2026 KLIMS). This marks the second time the MG ZS has been shown here, with the first being two years ago at the same event.

Regionally, Philippines and Brunei have launched the model, specced differently. For the former, their MG ZS is available in naturally-aspirated, turbocharged, and hybrid form, while the latter gets the model only as a naturally-aspirated model.

Seen here is the Hybrid+ variant, which encompasses a naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and a 3-speed dedicated hybrid transmission (3DHT)。

Power for the electric motor comes from a small 1.83-kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

According to MG, the combined system output is a respectable 196 PS and 465 Nm, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 8.7 seconds. At the same time, the claimed fuel consumption figure is 5.1L/100 km under the WLTP cycle.
Now that the second-generation MG ZS has been shown twice, could the launch finally be happening soon?
