Following its debut in China back in June 2025, Tesla has been gradually rolling out the new Model Y L across the globe. Malaysia received the model earlier this year.
According to Tesla, the Model Y L has gone on sale across several new markets, including the USA, UAE, as well as Puerto Rico.

For the former, it appears that the model will be manufactured at the Giga Texas plant, priced from USD 61,990 for the Model Y L Premium Launch Edition, marking a USD 12,000 premium over the Model Y AWD Premium and USD 4,000 over the Model Y Performance.

Versus the one sold here in Malaysia, Tesla says that the US-spec car returns up to 325 miles (523 km) when fitted with the standard 19-inch alloy wheels. Opt for the larger 20-inch units and the range drops by about 5 miles (8 km). For context, the Malaysian-spec Tesla Model Y L does up to 681 km under the WLTP test cycle.

Deliveries of the US-spec Tesla Model Y L will commence by late-September 2026.
