First-ever! 2026 G81 BMW M3 Touring Competition debuts in Malaysia, priced at RM 898,800; RM 950,900 with BSRI

The BMW M3 turns 40 this year — and BMW Group Malaysia is celebrating with something Malaysian enthusiasts have never gotten before: the 2026 G81 BMW M3 Touring Competition M xDrive, the first time the M3 has ever been offered here in wagon form.

Overview

Unveiled alongside the M2 CS at BMW Clubhouse, this isn't just a badge-and-boot-space exercise — the M3 Touring has already been crowned What Car? Performance Car of the Year 2025, two years running.

Benjamin Nagel, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia, said the M3 Touring "represents a genuine milestone for Malaysia — the first time the iconic BMW M3 has been offered here in Touring form."

This high-performance wagon is priced at RM 898,800. Opt for BSRI package and the price goes up to RM 950,900.

Exterior

Redesigned Adaptive LED headlights with Matrix technology come standard, adapting automatically to keep the road evenly lit regardless of conditions. M Lights Shadowline and extended M high-gloss Shadowline trim sharpen the look further, sitting above staggered 19"/20" forged wheels in Double-spoke Style 825 M Bicolour Black.

The wagon body brings genuine practicality: 500 litres of boot space, expandable to 1,510 litres, with a standard automatic tailgate. Full M performance, but you can still do an IKEA run.

Two exterior colours are on offer: Skyscraper Grey (paired with Merino Yas Marina Blue or Silverstone interior) and Isle of Man Green (exclusively with Merino Kyalami Orange interior).

Interior

The cabin balances motorsport intent with everyday usability. The M Alcantara steering wheel gets a flattened bottom, three spokes, and a red 12 o'clock marker. BMW's Curved Display — 12.3-inch instrument cluster paired with a 14.9-inch control display — runs an M-specific interface for quick access to key data.

Standard M carbon bucket seats are trimmed in Merino leather, joined by an M Anthracite headliner and a red M start button. For everyday use, electric seat memory, automatic aircon, and Comfort Access are all standard, plus a 16-speaker, 464-watt Harman Kardon sound system.

Powertrain

Power comes from the 3.0-litre S58 TwinPower Turbo inline-6 — the same engine architecture proven in BMW M4 GT3 race cars — producing 530 PS and 650 Nm of torque. Unlike the rear-drive-only M2 CS, this one sends power to all four wheels via M xDrive, through an 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission.

0-100km/h takes 3.6 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h. Fuel consumption is rated at 10.3-10.4L/100km (WLTP).

Chassis-wise, it rides on Adaptive M Suspension that adjusts to road conditions and driving style in real time, paired with an M Sport differential and M Compound brakes with red calipers.

Warranty & Aftersales

Also covered under Relax. We Care., with BMW Proactive Care monitoring, a 5-year unlimited-mileage BSRI warranty with 5 years/100,000km of service coverage, and 24/7 roadside assistance.
