Jetour T2 gets interior updates for 2027 in the UAE — will Malaysia get them too?

Jetour UAE has just confirmed that bookings for the 2027 Jetour T2 are now open, revealing a round of updates via its Instagram page. Interestingly, almost every change here is focused inside the cabin — the only visible exterior tweak is a subtle new tailgate spoiler.

What's new with the 2027 Jetour T2?

The door cards now get quilted inserts to match new quilted leather seats, which gain a massage function. There's also a grab handle added for the front passenger — something our right-hand-drive Malaysian-spec car currently doesn't have (ours only gets grab handles for rear passengers).

Elsewhere, the window switches on the driver's door and the centre console switchgear have been redesigned, and the centre armrest box now opens sideways toward the driver instead of upwards like before. There also appears to be a new touchscreen interface, plus fold-out tray tables added for rear passengers.

The Jetour UAE Instagram post also mentions a "refined steering wheel," physical aircon controls, seat ventilation, and a "recliner passenger seat" — though as far as we can tell, our Malaysian-spec T2 already comes with all of these. One notable swap: the UAE car rides on Michelin EV tyres, versus the Giti all-terrain rubber fitted here.

And UAE is the first few export markets to receive the update Jetour T2, as not only is the T2 the best-selling Chinese model in UAE, but it also helped push Jetour to become the best-selling Chinese brand in 2025. 

What about Malaysia?

No word yet on whether these UAE-spec changes will make their way to our market. For reference, the Jetour T2 is currently priced from RM 156,800 (including a RM 2,000 rebate), positioned as a boxy CKD SUV with 254 PS and 390 Nm on tap.

A plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant will soon be introduced in the near future.
