Perodua Axia price reduced by up to RM 4,700, 1.0G now priced from RM 33,900

Perodua has announced a price reduction for the Perodua Axia, with savings of up to RM 4,700 across selected variants. The revised pricing takes effect immediately, with the company saying the reduction is made possible through improvements in operational efficiency.

According to Perodua, the savings are being passed directly to customers without any changes to the Axia's specifications or quality, as the cost reductions were achieved through process optimisation and improved operational efficiency.

The largest reduction is applied to the entry-level Axia 1.0G, which is now priced at RM 33,900 in Peninsular Malaysia, down RM 4,700 from its previous price of RM 38,600.

Meanwhile, the Axia 1.0X receives a RM 1,500 price reduction, while the 1.0SE is now RM 1,000 cheaper. The range-topping 1.0AV sees a more modest RM 500 reduction.

Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer Dato' Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said the latest price revision is part of the company's ongoing efforts to help ease the cost of ownership for Malaysians by sharing the benefits of improved operational efficiency.

He added that the same efficiency improvements have also enabled Perodua to reduce the price of the Perodua QV-E as well as revise pricing for its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) offerings.

Perodua also confirmed that there are no changes to the Axia's specifications, equipment or build quality, with the lower prices being made possible solely through internal process improvements rather than product revisions.
