XPeng has launched the all-new RWD Standard Range variant for its 2026 G6 in Malaysia, slotting in as the entry-level option to join the existing facelifted G6 line-up (RWD Long Range Pro, AWD Performance, AWD Black Edition) that hit local shores last October.
Priced at RM159,948 (on-the-road, without insurance), it’s RM20,065 cheaper than the RWD Long Range Pro (RM180,013) and RM31,575 lower than the AWD Performance (RM191,523); the top-spec AWD Black Edition remains the priciest at RM159,948.
Powered by a rear-mounted 252 PS electric motor (440Nm of torque) and a 68.5kWh LFP battery (down from the 80.8kWh in higher variants), the RWD Standard Range does 0-100km/h in 6.94s, max speed 202km/h, and delivers a 480km WLTP range – a jump from the original 2024 Standard Range’s 435km (66kWh battery), with slightly lower power (259 PS previously) but the same torque.
For charging, it supports a 382kW DC fast charge (10-80% in 12 mins, ideal conditions) and 11kW AC charging (5-100% in 7.3hrs) – the AC rate matches higher variants, while DC is a touch lower than their 451kW.
To keep prices competitive, the entry variant trims a few premium kit: 18-inch rims (20-inch on others), no front seat massage, Nappa leather seats or suede pillar trims. All other core features are retained, including LED headlamps, panoramic glass roof with sunshade, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster + 15.6-inch central screen, NFC/UWB smart entry, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, dual 50W cooled wireless chargers, 256-colour ambient lighting, and dual-zone auto air-con.
It also comes with 6-way power front seats (heating/ventilation), 7 airbags, 360° camera with transparent chassis, 16-speaker XOpera surround sound (2 exclusive driver speakers), and the XPilot ADAS system (adaptive cruise, lane centering, AEB, blind spot monitoring, auto park and more) – missing only auto lane change, dash cam and driver monitoring (available on higher trims).
All 2026 G6 variants share the same 5 free exterior colours (Arctic White, Graphite Gray, Midnight Black, Silver Frost, Stellar Purple – replaces Fiery Orange) and 2 interior themes (Dark/Light Gray).
On after-sales, every XPeng G6 gets a 5-year/120,000km vehicle warranty, 8-year/160,000km battery warranty (whichever comes first), and a 5-year/100,000km free service package from Bermaz XPeng. Customers can also add on a home AC charger: 7kW for RM4,300 or 11kW for RM5,000, both inclusive of installation.
