Stellantis Malaysia has teased the arrival of the updated 2026 Leapmotor C10 in the country via two social media posts on Leapmotor Malaysia’s Facebook page. The caption “More Power, More Range” hints at a revamped powertrain, likely matching the refreshed model launched in China in 2025 .

Changes are focused on performance rather than design: the exterior remains nearly identical to the outgoing model, with only a new exterior colour (similar to the Dawn Purple seen on the Leapmotor B10) as a visual update. Notably, the updated C10 adopts an 800V architecture – a key upgrade over the previous version .

Key Powertrain & Range Upgrades - Rear-mounted electric motor: Upgraded to 299 hp (220 kW) – an 81 hp increase from the current 218 hp (160 kW) - 0-100 km/h sprint: Reduced to 5.9 seconds (down from 7.5 seconds) - Battery capacity: Larger 74.9 kWh LFP battery (up from 69.9 kWh) - CLTC range: 605 km, translating to an estimated 496 km WLTP range (current model: 424 km WLTP)
Charging Capabilities Leapmotor confirms the 800V architecture enables the updated C10 to recharge from 30-80% in around 16 minutes – a significant improvement in charging speed. Specific charging power details have not yet been disclosed, but the 800V platform is known to boost efficiency (up to 180kW charging power in the Chinese model).

CKD Local Assembly: Likely for Malaysia? There’s strong speculation the updated C10 will arrive as a locally assembled (CKD) model in Malaysia. Stellantis and Leapmotor previously announced plans to start local assembly of the C10 at Stellantis’ Gurun plant (Kedah) by late 2025, with an initial investment of €5 million (around RM24 million). This CKD shift is expected to improve pricing competitiveness for local buyers.
Additional Upgrades (From Chinese Model) While Malaysian specs are unconfirmed, the Chinese-market 2026 C10 also features a 50W wireless charger with air cooling, advanced ADAS (27 functions including high-speed navigation assist) powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8650 chip, and a refined chassis for better handling . It’s unclear if these features will be included in the local variant.
Leapmotor has not yet announced an official launch date or pricing for the 2026 C10 in Malaysia, but the social media tease suggests a launch could happen in the coming months. The CKD model is expected to compete closely with other mid-size electric SUVs in Malaysia, such as the BYD Atto 3 and Hyundai Ioniq 5.
