Geely confirms entry into Canada, with first models due in 2027

Chinese automotive giant Geely has officially announced plans to enter the Canadian market, marking another step in its global expansion.

According to Geely, its Canadian team is now in place, with work under way to establish local operations, sales channels and an aftersales service network. The first models are expected to arrive in Canada in 2027.

Geely Group sold more than 3.02 million vehicles worldwide in 2025, including nearly 1.69 million new energy vehicles (NEVs).

To establish itself in Canada, Geely says it will draw on its global resources and experience in local markets to meet the needs of Canadian customers and deliver a strong ownership experience.

The company also plans to work with established local partners who understand their communities and can support customers throughout the ownership journey, from buying a car to ongoing aftersales care.

Geely's operations now span more than 100 countries and regions. Its international engineering and design capabilities cover research and development, electrification, product development and emerging technologies, providing a foundation for the group's continued global expansion.
