Geely has officially launched the all-electric Geely E2 in Austria, unveiling the new model at its "Geely Austrian Brand Night" event in Vienna's famous Prater Park.

The launch is particularly relevant to Malaysian buyers, as the Geely E2 is the model on which the Proton eMas 5, Proton's entry-level electric car, is based.
The event also marked several other steps in Geely's Austrian expansion, including a dealer appointment ceremony, handovers of the first batch of vehicles and the announcement of a brand ambassador partnership.

Since entering Austria on 20 August this year, Geely has expanded its dealer network from seven outlets to 12, while building up its local sales and aftersales operations. By the end of the event, the model had received more than 80 orders in the country.

Geely also announced a partnership with the Red Bull Skydive Team, with team members Marco Waltenspiel and Marco Fürst named as its official brand ambassadors in Austria.
With the E2 now launched, its first vehicles handed over and its dealer network growing, Geely is continuing to establish its presence in Europe.
The company says it will work closely with local partners to expand sales and aftersales coverage, while offering European customers safer, smarter and more sustainable mobility.
