Honda Malaysia is marking Malaysia Day by sharing the ownership experiences of three e:HEV customers, highlighting how its hybrid models fit into daily commutes, long-distance trips and family life.
The owners drive the City e:HEV, Civic e:HEV RS and CR-V e:HEV RS, with fuel savings, driving comfort and practicality among the benefits they highlighted.

For Shangkari Kumaran, switching from her previous Honda City to the City e:HEV has reduced her monthly fuel spending from more than RM 200 to around RM 150 or slightly more.
She also finds the hybrid quieter, comfortable and stable on longer journeys. After two years of ownership, she reports no major issues with the car.
Beyond fuel savings, Shangkari highlighted Honda CONNECT’s vehicle-location function as a useful ownership feature.
On one occasion, a separate GPS device issued a false alert while her car was parked in a crowded area. She used Honda CONNECT to check its location and put her concerns to rest.

Civic e:HEV RS owner Mohamad Sabri Hassan says he typically achieves between 720 km and 800 km on a full tank, more than twice the distance he managed with his previous vehicle.
These figures reflect his personal driving experience rather than a standardised fuel-consumption test.
A trip to Kelantan stood out for Sabri, who arrived with fuel remaining in the tank. He also praised the Civic’s quietness, smooth power delivery and acceleration, which he finds more responsive than a conventional CVT-equipped car, particularly around town.
Other features he appreciates include the digital instrument display and Honda SENSING driver assistance systems, which he says make highway journeys more comfortable.

For Lionel Soon Pow Yik, the CR-V e:HEV RS offers a balance of performance, fuel economy and practicality.
He values its acceleration when overtaking and the reduced frequency of fuel stops, while the spacious cabin accommodates his family, his daughter’s friends and their belongings.
The CR-V’s efficiency has even become the subject of a friendly competition between Lionel and his wife, with both trying to achieve the greatest driving distance.
He also highlighted the digital instrument display and Bose sound system as features that make journeys more enjoyable.

Honda Malaysia managing director and chief executive officer Narushi Yazaki said the owners’ experiences illustrate how hybrid technology can meet different needs while retaining the driving enjoyment associated with the brand.
Alongside these customer stories, Honda Malaysia reiterated its 10-year hybrid battery warranty with unlimited mileage, announced earlier this year.
Editorial note: The release marks the warranty with a footnote symbol but does not include the corresponding terms. Eligibility and conditions should be confirmed before publication.
