2026 Honda City facelift previewed: New looks, now with BSM + LaneWatch, 360 cam

Following its opening of booking last week, Honda Malaysia has begun its nationwide preview of the upcoming 2026 Honda City facelift. The updated sedan will debut first, followed by the hatchback at a later date.

The first stop will be Dking SS2 @ Durian Wonderland SS2, happening from today till 6 September 2026. The subsequent dates and locations can be viewed here.

What’s new with the 2026 Honda City facelift?

First things first – the exterior, particularly the front-end, gets overhauled. Out goes the typical Honda looks you and me are familiar with, as the 2026 Honda City facelift gets a new integrated headlight design with a full-width LED light bar.

There’s also a pair of air curtains on the sides, giving the B-segment sedan a sportier look. Furthermore, the Honda logo has now been relocated to the top of the front bumper, away from the grille. The RS variant is distinguished by new 16-inch milled alloy wheels finished in Berlina Black and Dark Clear.

Towards the rear and the RS variant also receives a set of dark clear LED tail lights and reprofiled rear bumper – the latter with a faux diffuser for that even sportier look.

Stepping into the cabin and there’s a new 10-inch Display Audio system with Ambient Light, as well as a Multi-View Camera System offering a 360-degree view of the vehicle’s surroundings.

For the first time in the City’s history, Blind Spot Information with Cross Traffic Monitoring is also now offered across all variants, providing an additional warning when changing lanes or reversing out of a parking space.

Power comes from the choice of petrol and petrol-electric hybrid powertrains – unchanged from before.

The 1.5-litre e:HEV combines a petrol engine with an electric motor and e-CVT. Honda quotes 109 PS and 253 Nm from the electric motor, with the system switching between EV, Hybrid and Engine drive modes depending on driving conditions.

For buyers who prefer a conventional petrol setup, the 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC engine produces 121 PS and 145 Nm, with power sent through a CVT.

To mark the opening of bookings, Honda Malaysia is offering a RM 3,000 Early Bird Reward for customers who place their bookings between 27 August and 30 September 2026.

The new 2026 Honda City facelift is now available for booking through prebook.honda.com.my, Honda authorised dealerships nationwide and the HondaTouch application.
