The Bufori Geneva is a flagship four-door ultra-luxury saloon launched in 2010 by Australian bespoke ultra-luxury carmaker Bufori. The model made its global debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2010, taking its name from the host city. The Geneva stands as the most powerful and functional four-door saloon in Bufori's history. In April 2012, the Bufori Geneva made its Asia-Pacific debut at the Beijing Auto Show, marking the marque's official entry into the Chinese market.Positioned as an ultra-luxury bespoke four-door saloon, it rivalled the likes of Rolls-Royce and Bentley. Design Language

The Geneva's exterior styling seamlessly marries Bufori's classic vintage design cues with contemporary elements. The vehicle adopts classic grand tourer proportions with a long bonnet and a short boot, featuring a shield-shaped radiator grille and triple circular HID headlamps on either side at the front, paired with twin circular LED tail lamps at the rear.Classic flared wheel arches are matched with rear-hinged coach doors, whilst the swept-back rear profile exudes a distinct retro character. The bodywork showcases pronounced angular contours, presenting a strong, handcrafted metallic aesthetic. The upright "B" bonnet mascot and prominent wire-mesh grille evoke the grandeur of vintage luxury marques. The body shell is constructed from a carbon fibre and Kevlar composite, delivering superior structural rigidity over conventional steel;meanwhile, the chassis is fabricated from stainless steel for exceptional corrosion resistance. The vehicle is built entirely by hand inside and out.

Powertrain and Performance

Powering the Geneva is a Chrysler-sourced Hemi naturally aspirated V8 petrol engine.Early iterations featured a 6.1-litre unit producing 430 hp (approx. 320 kW) and 586 Nm of peak torque;later production models were upgraded to a 6.4-litre V8, delivering 470 hp at 6,000 rpm and 630 Nm (approx. 64.3 kgm) of torque at 4,200 rpm.The powerplant is paired with an automatic transmission, driving the rear wheels exclusively. The century sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is completed in 5.4 seconds, with a top speed of 280 km/h.A factory supercharged variant was also offered, boosting outputs to 560 hp and 690 Nm.Fuel consumption is rated at 14.1 litres/100 km, meeting Euro 4 emission standards.

Chassis and Handling

The Geneva is engineered on a semi-monocoque chassis structure, equipped with all-round independent suspension featuring a multi-link setup at the rear. The vehicle comes fitted with a limited-slip differential (LSD).Stopping power is managed by high-performance Brembo brake callipers.Driver assistance features include Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), and Traction Control (TC).An Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system is also integrated.

Cabin and Equipment

The Geneva's cabin is lavishly appointed with premium leather upholstery and genuine wood veneers. The seats offer full power adjustment, while automatic climate control serves both front and rear occupants. The rear quarters feature individual electrically adjustable lounge seats.A comprehensive bespoke customisation programme is available, including a sunroof,a surround sound audio system, and up to three touchscreen displays. As the brand's most customisable model, the Geneva can be specified with an integrated tea set (including an instant boiling water dispenser),a coffee machine,a mini-bar with a refrigerator,a cigar humidor,a built-in safe, and an ice maker.Among these bespoke amenities, the rear Chinese tea set module tailored specifically for Chinese clientele was exceptionally well-received.

Safety and Intelligent Driving

The Geneva comes comprehensively equipped with active and passive safety features. Active safety includes electronic driving aids such as ABS, EBD, BA, and TC.A thermal-imaging night vision camera integrated into the front bumper can detect road hazards up to 300 metres ahead and display the feed on the in-cabin screen. The vehicle is also equipped with a Lane Departure Warning (LDW) systemand a Head-Up Display (HUD).Passive safety includes six airbags as standard.Benefiting from its specialised carbon fibre/Kevlar composite body structure, its crash energy absorption capability and structural integrity are equally outstanding.

The Bufori Geneva made its global debut at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, followed by its Asia-Pacific premiere at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2012.Each Geneva requires 24 production stages and over 6,000 man-hours of meticulous handcrafting.Bufori planned to commence customer deliveries in June 2010, targeting key markets across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North America. In 2012, Bufori established its first showroom in China in Shanghai. However, due to brand recognition and market positioning challenges, Bufori withdrew from the Chinese market in 2013.The Geneva represents a key milestone for Bufori in the ultra-luxury four-door saloon segment, leaving a distinctive impression on the high-end luxury market with its retro aesthetics, bespoke coachbuilding, and potent V8 performance.
