MAXUS eDeliver 7

2026-09-29 08:40:03

The SAIC MAXUS eDeliver 7 is an all-electric medium commercial van from SAIC MAXUS, serving as a flagship model in the brand's global new energy commercial vehicle strategy. First unveiled in 2023, its domestic Chinese market counterpart is the V70 EV. Positioned between the compact eDeliver 3 and the large eDeliver 9, the eDeliver 7 is primarily aimed at commercial use cases such as urban logistics, courier delivery, and short-haul transport. As of June 2026, the starting price of the eDeliver 7 in the European market is approximately €45,990.

Design Language

The exterior styling of the eDeliver 7 is sleek and high-tech, featuring a streamlined front fascia with gradient patterns characteristic of modern Chinese EVs, alongside bumper-integrated LED headlights and vertical fog lamps. Its overall profile is reminiscent of the Ford Transit Custom. To cater to diverse cargo-hauling requirements, the vehicle is offered in multiple body configurations. The standard wheelbase version measures 5.37 metres in length, delivering a cargo volume of 6.7 to 7.2 cubic metres. Inside, the cabin is robustly finished with partial eco-leather upholstery, offering comfortable and spacious seating. The dashboard is anchored by a 12.3-inch central touchscreen display.

Power and Performance

The eDeliver 7 is driven by a front-mounted single electric motor. This permanent magnet synchronous motor delivers a maximum output of 150 kW (around 204 PS) and a peak torque of 330 Nm, enabling an official 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 11.4 to 11.9 seconds. Battery options include 77 kWh and 88 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) packs. Depending on the body variant, the WLTC-rated pure electric driving ranges are 310 km, 318 km, 328 km, and 362 km, respectively. For charging, the van supports up to 90 kW DC fast charging, taking approximately 43 minutes to juice up from 20% to 80% .

Chassis and Handling

Underneath, the eDeliver 7 rides on a combination of a front MacPherson strut independent suspension and a rear leaf spring non-independent suspension. This configuration strikes a practical balance between daily ride comfort and the heavy load-lugging demands of commercial logistics. Power is delivered via a front-wheel-drive (FWD) layout. The vehicle has a minimum turning radius of 6.05 to 6.7 metres. Braking duties are handled by front ventilated or solid discs and rear solid discs, paired with an Electronic Parking Brake (EPB). It rolls on 215/65 R16 tyres and provides three selectable drive modes: Eco, Normal, and Power.

Cabin and Features

Inside the cockpit, the eDeliver 7 is equipped with a 12.3-inch central touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity. Practical amenities such as USB-A ports are conveniently located in the cabin. Creature comforts include automatic climate control, an 8-way adjustable driver's seat, a multi-function leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and a heated front windscreen. For cargo management, the van comes standard with dual sliding side doors and rear barn doors that open up to 180 degrees, complemented by electric retractable side steps to facilitate loading and unloading.

Safety and Driver Assistance

Safety is one of the key selling points of the eDeliver 7, having achieved a prestigious five-star safety rating in the Euro NCAP 2025 Commercial Van Safety Tests. The vehicle comes standard with driver and front passenger airbags (side curtain airbags are optional). Active safety equipment is generous, featuring standard Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Support Systems (LSS), Blind Spot Information System, Driver Drowsiness and Attention Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, and more across the range. Additional driver assistance aids include a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) .

Market Performance and Verdict

The eDeliver 7 is a pivotal model in SAIC MAXUS’s global new energy commercial vehicle offensive, having entered key international markets including Europe, Australia, and Southeast Asia (Thailand, Singapore) . The van has proven its real-world capability; for example, FedEx deployed the eDeliver 7 to successfully complete a 406 km cross-border delivery run from Malaysia to Singapore. Its standout strengths include the peace of mind from its Euro NCAP five-star safety rating, a WLTC range of up to 362 km, a generous cargo volume of up to 7.2 cubic metres, and the punchy performance of its 150 kW motor. On the downside, the rear leaf spring suspension sacrifices some ride comfort over uneven road surfaces, and some drivers have noted that the cabin’s storage compartments are somewhat limited and shallow. Overall, backed by its product positioning of "European standards, global quality," the eDeliver 7 has carved out a distinct competitive edge in the all-electric medium commercial van segment.
