First, overall growth is not fast. 108,000 units, 3.54% year-on-year, compared to BYD (419,000), Geely Group (250,000+), Chery (276,800), volume and growth rate are not in the forefront. Domestic SUV competition intensifies, Haval basic foundation needs continuous reinforcement.
Second, NEV proportion can still improve. Great Wall did not publish NEV sales separately, but from brand structure—Haval main force still fuel and PHEV, TANK mainly fuel, ORA EV but base small—NEV penetration rate should be lower than industry average. In the background of NEV penetration rate breaking 60%, electrification transformation needs acceleration.
Great Wall is a "category innovation" driven company. TANK's success proves it is good at making hit products in niche segments. H10 pre-sale data shows this ability remains.
But category innovation has a ceiling: each niche segment has an upper limit. TANK monthly sales 17,000 is already good, hard to go higher. Great Wall needs to return to annual sales 1.5 million scale, not only needs a few hit categories, but overall NEV penetration rate full improvement.
