Geely Overseas Sales Hit New High in May, Urgently Mobilizes Logistics to Ensure Global Deliveries

Recently, Geely’s May overseas sales figures were released, with overseas export sales exceeding 85,000 units, reaching a new high, representing a year-on-year growth of 184%.

Previously in April, Geely’s overseas new energy vehicle sales grew by 624.5% year-on-year, retaining the top spot in growth rate for Chinese new energy vehicle exports.

In segmented markets, Geely’s sales performance continues to bloom in multiple areas. Among them, Geely has entered the Australian market for only 14 months, with delivery volume exceeding 10,000 units, becoming one of the fastest-growing Chinese automakers locally; simultaneously, in the Brazilian market, sales climbed to over 4,000 units, breaking the highest single-month sales record in that country. The Mexico market accumulated 16,000+ units from January to April, setting a new all-time high.

Geely EX2 achieved top 1 in B-segment hatchback new energy vehicle sales in multiple markets such as Mexico, Indonesia, and Costa Rica; Geely EX5 topped the pure electric SUV-C market in the first quarter in multiple countries including Australia, UAE, and Uruguay. Zeekr's 7X and 009 became sales champions in segmented markets, among which Zeekr 7X sales topped the list again in the Australian market, surpassing the long-dominant Tesla Model Y.

Facing order surge pressure, Geely relies on the Ningbo export hub, activating Ro-Ro ships, container ships, and international railway trains to conduct sea-land combined transport, fully ensuring complete vehicle delivery. The head of international business of Geely Auto Group Logistics Center stated in an interview that emergency new transportation routes have been added, forming a capacity resource layout with 4 major railway ports and 6 major sea ports, equipped with two own Ro-Ro ships, while new cross-border transport lines have been opened, continuously supplementing various capacity resources, able to stably ship nearly 10,000 new vehicles monthly to core European ports. The China-Europe Railway Express Geely special train operates routinely, reducing transportation time by 40 days compared to sea freight. In the future, to cope with the explosive growth of overseas sales, Geely will continue to expand overseas transportation scale, further improving vehicle delivery times.

The surge in Geely's overseas sales clearly demonstrates Geely's strong product capabilities and the implementation of its localization strategy, further reflecting the strong strength of the Chinese automotive industry in high-end exporting and technology globalization.
