BJ30 Explorer Highlight Edition Launches, Full Range Trade-in Subsidy of 30,000 Starting from 69,900

On June 12, the "150,000 Passions, Highlights Arrive" BJ30 Explorer 150,000 Units Production Milestone & Highlight Edition Launch Press Conference was held at BAIC Zhuzhou Super Factory. The BJ30 Explorer full series introduces a 30,000 yuan trade-in policy, with a super trade-in price starting from 69,900 yuan. The all-new annual model BJ30 Explorer Highlight Edition has launched, positioned as a light off-road SUV, with a super trade-in price starting from 82,900 yuan. Under the lens of CCTV, Beijing Off-road also live-streamed the teardown of a BJ30 Explorer with 150,000 kilometers driven, letting the entire internet witness the vehicle's reliable quality.

Beijing Off-road created the "Tri-engine Four-wheel Drive Six-mode HEV Hybrid Architecture" and applied it first to the BJ30 Explorer, becoming the HEV hybrid model in the Chinese Boxy SUV category. The tri-engine powertrain consists of a hybrid dedicated engine with 41% thermal efficiency, a front drive motor, and a rear drive motor, specializing in long-distance energy saving, real-time power replenishment, and instantaneous burst respectively; the intelligent four-wheel drive response speed reaches 30 milliseconds, with peak torque available in 0.5 seconds. The six modes can automatically select the optimal working mode, keeping power always in the best state. Coupled with the energy center lock, four-wheel electronic limited slip, and Smart Electric ATS All-Terrain Control System, it easily handles scenarios like mud and sand.

The BJ30 Explorer features a three-row seven-seat layout, with a 2,820 mm wheelbase, 66% space utilization rate, and 1,496 liters of trunk space, with the rear seats folding flat instantly transforming into a 1.92-meter large bed. The third-row space allows 1.8-meter tall adults to sit comfortably. There are 38 storage spaces in the whole car, with dedicated spots for personal items.

Recently, automotive bloggers from five countries—South Africa, Indonesia, UAE, Poland, and Mexico—tested the fuel consumption of domestic SUVs. The BJ30 Explorer achieved a result of no more than 5 liters per 100 kilometers in every country, with a range exceeding 1,000+ kilometers on a single tank.

The BJ30 Explorer Highlight Edition is equipped with a high-performance, long-life dedicated AGM battery, with a cycle life reaching 3 times that of ordinary batteries; it features turbocharging technology, with vehicle charging efficiency reaching 99%; the rear motor power is increased from 55 kW to 70 kW, providing timely response for highway merging, intersection start-ups, and emergency evasion.

Compared to ordinary SUVs, the BJ30 Explorer Highlight Edition is equipped with functions such as seat heating, ventilation, and steering wheel heating. The system can sense raindrops and automatically close the windows. The 64-color ambient lighting can pulse to the rhythm of the music.

At the press conference scene, Beijing Off-road joined hands with CCTV Finance to live-stream the teardown of a BJ30 Explorer driven for 150,000 kilometers, demonstrating durability quality with actual vehicle condition. At the same time, the camera deeply explored the BAIC Zhuzhou Super Factory, witnessing how Chinese Smart Manufacturing maintains excellent quality control for every vehicle from the source.

150,000 kilometers is equivalent to the usage mileage of an ordinary family for nearly ten years. After disassembling the BJ30 Explorer: the engine turbine is clean with little carbon buildup, power output remains abundant; the transmission casing is intact without oil leakage, and internal gears show no wear or pits, with the power system in excellent condition; the battery pack has no bulging, leakage, or internal degradation or aging, so long-term use does not worry about battery aging faults; the subframe and suspension arms have no rust, seepage, or oil leakage issues. The chassis flatness, integrity, and difference from a new car are very small, and passive safety protection is always online.

Beijing Off-road also joined hands with CCTV Finance to deeply explore the BAIC Zhuzhou Super Factory, unveiling the underlying logic behind the BJ30 Explorer's excellent quality from the manufacturing source. In the welding workshop, hundreds of robots work collaboratively with 100% automation, with adhesive application errors not exceeding a hair's thickness, ensuring a stronger body skeleton, stronger impact and deformation resistance, no abnormal noise on rough roads, and safer during collisions; in the stamping workshop, more than 5,000 tons of giant stamping equipment presses the body sheets into shape at one time, ensuring the body is uniform and neat with smooth lines; in the painting workshop, dozens of robots perform fully automatic spraying, combined with eco-friendly water-based paint, reducing harmful pungent volatile substances by over 60%, new cars have no odors, making it safer for elderly and children to ride, and the paint surface is more sun-resistant and corrosion-resistant. At the same time, every process has a quality control checkpoint to ensure that every BJ30 Explorer that rolls off the line meets quality standards.
