Gas Cars Still Competitive! Geely September Sales Reach 290,000, China Star Exports Break 100,000

October 1st, Geely Auto announced September delivery data: monthly wholesale sales 292,168 units, up 7% year-over-year, up 8% month-over-month, reaching a new high for the year, and achieving double growth in YoY and MoM for 7 consecutive months; first three quarters cumulative sales 2,235,481 units, reaching a historical high for the same period, which can be said to be a relatively bright report card in the "Golden September".

290,000 Total Volume: Both Fuel / Hybrid Maintain Monthly Sales at 100,000 Level

September New Energy sales 190,868 units, up 16% YoY, accounting for 65% of the total; among which Galaxy 130,479 units, Zeekr delivery 37,216 units, Lynk & Co New Energy 17,039 units, mainstream, premium, luxury three tiers all have incremental growth. However, Geely September China Star sales 105,980 units, up 9% YoY, up 5% MoM, both YoY and MoM still in double growth; first three quarters China Star cumulative sales 873,776 units.

China Star 100k: Fuel Has Not Retreated, Electrification + Smart Driving Effective

In the September sales breakdown of China Star, Premium series 35,174 units, Boyue Family 25,110 units, Binyue & Binrui Family 28,879 units. Xingrui L PLUS launched pre-sale, adopting i-HEV Smart Engine hybrid; 4th Gen Boyue L equipped with 1.5TD Pro high-power engine and Qianli Haohan H5 assisted driving, function upgrades of over 200 items.

This is not price cuts to protect gas cars; fuel cars are not competing on displacement and price, but rather bringing HEV, assisted driving, and cockpit infotainment down to the 100,000-150,000 main force price range. In the phase where total domestic gas cars are declining, Geely uses hybrid to reduce fuel consumption and uses smart driving to extend product lifespan, which is an important reason why the gas car foundation can still maintain the 100,000 level.

AI Going Downward: Qianli Haohan Breaks 1 Million Installations, Gas Cars Also Connected

Qianli Haohan assisted driving September confirmed installation volume breaks 1 million units, growth rate first among independent brands. More realistic than how many are installed is the activation rate 93.8%, daily call frequency is still going up.
