Jetour G700 teased again, new off-road SUV pretty much confirmed for Malaysia?

Here’s an open secret – Jetour Auto Malaysia has been teasing the Jetour G700 for a bit now.

The first appearance of Jetour’s new SUV was at the 2026 KLIMS, and this time around, during the launch of the Jetour T1, Nicholas Ng, Vice President of Jetour Auto Malaysia, revealed that there’s a “Premium Off-road SUV” that’s coming here soon.

Yes – Jetour’s SUV-only line-up will soon welcome its “Premium Off-road SUV” in the form of the upcoming G700, positioned above the recently-launched Jetour T1 and T2 siblings.

First things first, the Jetour G700 is massive, measuring 5,198 mm long, 2,050 mm wide, and 1,956 tall, with a 2,870 mm wheelbase. The Jetour T2, on the other hand, measures 4,785 mm long, 2,006 mm wide, 1,870 mm tall, with a 2,800 mm wheelbase.

For what it’s worth, the Jetour G700 is comparable in dimensions to the Denza B8 – the latter has a slight edge in wheelbase, but both are otherwise close in dimensions.

While the Malaysian-spec Jetour G700 might be some time away, but over in UAE where Jetour has a huge presence, the G700 gets a turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol engine mated to a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) system.

Combined system output is a whopping 904 PS and 1,135 Nm, enough to propel this 3-tonne SUV from a dead stop to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds. Top speed is rated at 180 km/h.

Being a PHEV means that fuel consumption, at least according to Jetour, is nothing short of stellar. The company claims that the G700 consumes just 1.39 L/100 km, under the combined WLTC cycle. Measured WLTC fuel consumption, on the other hand, is rated at a more realistic 8.6 L/100 km.

There’s also a 34.13-kWh LFP battery pack that delivers up to 100 km of pure electric range, under the WLTC cycle.

Excited? Hold your horses, as the Jetour G700 is currently only offered in left-hand drive (LHD) format only; there’s no RHD cars yet. Rest assured, once RHD units are produced, a Malaysian launch should follow suit.
