Denza Z9S opened for pre-sales in China: ~RM 190k – up to 1,100 km CLTC EV range, 1,210 PS

Denza has officially opened pre-sales for the new 2026 Denza Z9S in China, with the premium electric fastback being offered in three variants. Prices start from RMB 319,800 (~RM 190k), with customer deliveries expected to begin at a later date.

The Z9S serves as the latest addition to Denza's growing premium EV line-up and adopts the brand's latest "Elegant Momentum" design language. The sleek fastback silhouette is complemented by a pair of distinctive "Twin Crown" LED headlamps inspired by shooting stars, while buyers can choose from seven exterior colours, including Dawn Purple and Midnight Blue, alongside three interior themes.

In profile, the Z9S features frameless doors, semi-hidden door handles and yellow brake calipers that emphasise its sporty character. At the rear, Denza has opted against the increasingly common full-width light bar, instead fitting a split taillight design that gives the car a unique lighting signature. A sculpted rear bumper and subtle ducktail spoiler further enhance the vehicle's athletic appearance.

The Z9S measures 5,090 mm long, 1,980 mm wide and 1,490 mm tall, with a 3,025 mm wheelbase, placing it firmly within the executive sedan segment.

Inside, the cabin adopts a wraparound cockpit layout with premium materials throughout. Diamond-quilted perforated seats come standard with ventilation, heating and massage functions for all occupants, while rear passengers benefit from a completely flat floor. Other highlights include a Devialet premium sound system, suede headliner, panoramic glass roof and full-width ambient lighting.

The infotainment system is compatible with all major smartphone platforms and is also the first production vehicle globally to feature Apple CarPlay's new mini-window mode, allowing drivers to keep navigation or vehicle information visible while running CarPlay simultaneously.

Performance is one of the Z9S' biggest talking points. Denza claims a CLTC-rated pure electric driving range of up to 1,100 km, making it the longest-range production EV currently on sale under the Chinese testing cycle.

Power comes from a high-performance electric drivetrain producing a combined 1,210 PS, enabling the Z9S to sprint from 0-100 km/h in as little as 2.68 seconds.

With flagship-level performance, premium equipment and record-setting range figures, the Denza Z9S is positioned to compete directly against luxury electric sedans from both established premium brands and emerging Chinese EV manufacturers.

Closer to home, Denza Malaysia recently launched the 2026 Denza Z9GT in the country, priced at RM 358,800.
