2026 Chengdu Motor Show: iCAUR V25 debuts ahead of November launch

At the ongoing 2026 Chengdu Motor Show, the iCAUR V25 has made its global debut. The V25 is the third model in iCAUR's V series and is confirmed to go on sale in China in November 2026.

Rugged looks

The iCAUR V25 has a tall, upright stance, with a vertical A-pillar and wide wheel arches that emphasise its boxy proportions.

In China, the V25 is available in five exterior colours: pearl white, black, silver, green and matte grey. The pearl white option uses an eight-layer paint finish.

The SUV measures 4,636mm in length, 1,920mm in width and 1,855mm in height, with a 2,820mm wheelbase.

Ground clearance stands at 197mm, while the 30-degree approach angle and 28-degree departure angle give it the necessary clearance for light off-road driving.

Side profile and details

The V25 keeps things fairly clean along the sides, with a straight window line that works well with its boxy shape. The front wing also incorporates a Tech Island, combining the driver-assistance cameras, NFC sensor and turn signal in one unit.

The SUV uses semi-hidden mechanical door handles, with a small welcome light built into the inner side of each handle. It also comes with fixed aluminium side steps as standard, along with 21-inch low-drag wheels and 265mm tyres.

One particularly neat touch is the removable trim panel over the D-pillar blind window. Owners can replace it with accessories such as a ladder or side-mounted storage box.

Driver assistance

The iCAUR V25 features the Super Falcon 700+ driver assistance system, powered by a Horizon Journey 6P chip with 560 TOPS of computing power.

At the rear

One of the V25's most distinctive touches is its nine-section high-mounted brake light, styled like a Lego brick. There is also space above the tail lights for a display box, allowing owners to add their own personalised light-up design.

The side-hinged tailgate opens to 88 degrees and uses high-strength forged hinges with adjustable stopping points, so it can be held open at different angles.

The V25's 22.7-litre "backpack" storage box is built into the tailgate, with separate compartments for things such as umbrellas and tools.

It also gets dual fog lights and dual reversing lights, with clear lenses for better visibility.

Chassis and powertrain

The V25's roof can support up to 200 kg when stationary, and the body uses a lightweight, high-rigidity structure with the wheels positioned close to the corners.

Underneath, the V25 uses MacPherson struts at the front and a five-link rear suspension, with Prodrive handling the chassis tuning.

The setup is designed to keep the SUV composed on the road while giving it some extra agility on winding roads.

Power comes from a 1.5-litre range-extender system producing 115 kW.

The V25 is fitted with a 33.67 kWh LFP battery, with claimed WLTC electric ranges of 145 km and 150 km, depending on the variant.

Fuel consumption with the battery depleted is rated at around 6.9 to 7.15 litres/100km. A dual-motor all-wheel-drive system is also expected.
